Cana's DDA Poem by MofloThe Wedding at Cana is the biblical event where Jesus changed water into wine when the hosts ran out. I took a kinda modern and comical twist on this.
What a happy day it is at Cana!
Bride and groom all dressed in garm- Pastors, family, wedding guests And kids run freely through the yard. Such a a happy day at Cana! Until, that is, the wine ran out So Jesus with his magic hands Brought all the waiters there about, And then the cups all turned to red! Wine! Its wine! The Porter yelled. The wedding guests were thrilled again, And happiness, by all, was felt! -Except by me, I do not drink At least I couldn't drink that night. See, I'm the one who drove the guests Here to Cana, being polite, But even my drink turned to red And I couldn't disappoint the hosts So I drank it all and drove the guests Into a sturdy highway post. Joseph hit the pavement hard, Flying through the windshield, clear. The dashboard took of Jacob's head, And Matthew's by the column, steer. So what a happy day it was! The children running, drunk with glee! Ignore the graphic accident Where everyone was saved, but me. © 2011 MofloAuthor's Note
