On my grave

On my grave

A Poem by Moegetaku

Don't insult me

By putting a flower on my grave

The softness of petals

Will be tarnished by the thorns

Don't carnage my soul

By thinking what could have happened

Just go and live your life

As if, between us, nothing ever happened

Don't tarnish my memories

By burning my image in your mind

If I was ever so important

There'd have been no one else in your sight

Don't kill me after I have died

If possible, do me a favour

Just don't turn up near my grave
