Elusive Guilt In Ruinous LoveA Poem by XxxModifyTheMassesxxXI'm not perfect, and one flaw in coping cost me my diamond in the rough.
You. A broken foundation from past calamities. Skeptic, but a well of affection and adoration.
Abstract, you were flawed but the picture was palpable. Me. A martyr of my own standards. Contradictive, I love but hurt you in my actions. Oblivious to my own indulgence. Endearing gestures overshadowed by the malice of sultry cope. Both. Embodiments of sin. Pride and Greed. Lust and Gluttony. In this hell we found Eden. You were my solace. Stoking your flame, I smoldered this garden in my lack to communicate. Bilateral destruction. Where do we draw the line of compromise and self sacrifice? Insecure and distrustful. You remained impure but radiant. Unwilling to let go of my own toxicity. Convoluted in my inability to transmute. Selfishly we held on to what to the compounds that tainted our cohesion. Tarnished mediums attempting to refine one another. My constellation without its brightest star.
