A Letter From PrisonA Poem by PoeticFuryLocked up... I want to be free
For nineteen years I had to serve a prison term. Found out that all the good people I have met and have known have been in here with me.
... Some with longer and even shorter terms. We ask why? What lesson are we, or were we suppose to learn? Is this something we deserve? I know this is not something we as good people have earned. We did not kill, stab, or shoot anyone. Although in this prison we have perfect twenty-twenty vision. Honest we are not even stuck behind bars. In this prison we can walk anywhere we want. Watch the stars.. Drive our cars... Go into outer space and go to mars. Why sometime we have no understanding of who we are? Why is it that the bad gets the good? As if they are not in jail. Living life up ever so sweet. When we try so hard to work for the reward. Sometime we feel life (prison is stale) Now on this day as I have said before we all have been set free. I realize this life is for everyone on this planet that includes me. Sometime it may be hard, but I do thank the lord. Cause when things get hard he sees me through. We are not going to live in life's prison anymore. I enjoy and want to live for the here and now. All I can say is if you agree with me Let's break the others out of prison and let's show them how.
