I Tried To Understand

I Tried To Understand

A Poem by PoeticFury
"

Sometime we try, but often wonder why we do.

"
Your smile it fooled me. I tried to understand what was behind it.
I tried to understand your words that gave me a broken heart that I am now spilling on paper not to mention you signed it.
I tried to understand all the rejection that felt like an injection inserted in my skin by a needle.
No protection breaking my spirit just like my pride as if it was separated, and put into different sections.
You showed no remorse.Of course you never showed affection.I even tried to understand the lies.
From the short answers you gave me when I asked questions.
Who?What?When?Where?Why?
I tried to understand that sometime things can't go my way.
When only god decides.
I can't understand you were everything including a friend I would talk to everyday.
Now I can't understand how you are that voice, and have that name I don't want to hear no way.
Yet now I understand that I tried to understand.
That concluded that you were perliminary that was not real, but fake what a role that you had suited...
While now I realize that through all the mess there is someone out there for me, but as of now their just alluded till they are ready to come out.
In the end I understand the flow like the current of a sea. Sometime calm, or dangerous.
I understand my wish, but one day when the time is right I will get to say we.
Just not with you because the one thing you did do right was never taking the chance of understanding me....
