The Perfect DisasterA Poem by PoeticFuryWe all lived through it, and if you did not live through it. Most of you heard about it
August or can I say it for short Aug, I remember when it sunk in my mind on a monday; lives were taken away.
Nothing was seen after the rain, smoke, wind, resadue, and fog. Nothing but tears and homes that were destroyed. If by choice each and every one of us would have been more than happy to avoid. No exceptions man, woman, baby, girl, or boy. As sgins of solid and traffic were blown away out of sight. With the hurricane not having the red, but the green light. Reeking havoc through the ground. As far as the yellow light we all knew it had no intention of slowing down. It destroyed so many wires our thoughts, dreams, and desires. Not to mention the finances of consumers in other words the buyers. Spreading family apart the heart looking for a start. Problems no one to help not a bank, fema, goverment, or a local walmart. It messed up all leaving it's mark on the walls and the streets. Stressing everyone from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet. Though to this day the memory will never fade. With the speed of landfall that it made which was ever so faster. This my friends was hurricane katrina and for someone sick who should have not enjoyed it. This was The Perfect Disaster. © 2011 PoeticFury |
