Goodbye Dave

Goodbye Dave

A Poem by modtoddinc
"

I will miss David Letterman. I haven't watched him in a few years, but I watched the final show and wept. As many of my poems are written this is in the moment of NOW.

"

Dear Dave,

I love you.

For all you have ever been and all you accomplished

in life

'til now...

Hero

comedian,

Funny guy I admire because you show me how

to be

me...

It's sad

I know

For you and us and all you touched for 33

thanks

for smiles....

Laughter,  jokes

world wide pants

everything you've done has been original and true

unique

and you...

I will

never forget

all you stood for and become, an Indiana son

weatherman

father...

I owe you

for all you done

please remember forever and always that you

are the

only one.
