MarigoldA Poem by modtoddincThis is a poem using the Marigold flower as an example of quiet self confidence and resolve. Love of self.
Sister marigold lend me your healing, Sleep with me; Rise with me, Comfort my heart and spirit, For the day has been dark, and full of brooding
[He’s scared cause I want it All]
Yellow feelings in this hot bright sun Should not be following me, Still, you bring me smiles with your simplicity And I forget to remember my failings
[He’s scared cause I want it All]
Marigold, so tender, you always remember To rest and bloom each day Consistency and unyielding effort just to be how you are Created as a tiny flower
[He’s scared cause I want it All]
If only I can learn from you, And shut the shutters of self-doubt Become the son created on this hillside Artistically expressing what is attracted And give it back in this field of the living.
“He’s scared cause I want it All” by Kurt Cobain and Nirvana from the song Marigold.
