Right Now

Right Now

A Poem by modtoddinc
"

Feeling

"

I can't see the point anymore

crash the plane

kill a score

Shoot the school

take a hostage

kill some more

suicide

take your life

forget the kids

and the wife

be a martyr

live in slaughter

hear the sirens

not your daughter

the artist's torment

written words

painted in cement

where's the justice?

recognition

forgetting about

our nutrition...

anger comes

anger goes

anger is

how it shows

simple rhymes

stupid times

nothing is

 as nothing does

how can this be a plus?

there is no way

to try and say

what I am today

its just quiet

in the riot

and will be

forever

voices lost in the crowd

never heard

forgotten words

that's assured

when and why

who cried

how sometimes

what died

fortitude

can only be created

in an actuality

of life experienced and fought through

the being of an individual;

don't give me your excuses,

your muses

your incomplete thoughts

I AM~!

Here,

Now

accentuated

bought

the presence is

not was

not cause

not used to be

or lost

we are one

in the battle of

just begun

and any argument

is simply rude

amen

when words arent enough what next - actions? - What actions then - strike back? Isnt that adding fuel to the fire? As someone who lived with sectarian violence in the name of religion for 30 plus years, my society is trying to move away from that.
The only way this will be solved is through words Todd, ironically enough.
Dont be surprised to find in 20 or 30 years that representatives from yours and maybe even my governments were in secret talks with the leaders of those who carried out these attacks, even while they continued. Thats the way it is in the modern world.
I really feel your frustrations my friend. This is a fine and honourable write.

Todd,

this is so powerful...the message clear...what does violence achieve? not a damn thing...

and we are in an immense battle right now---

the world is in such chaos...so much purposeless violence...a world of incomplete thoughts...
the poets express, but does anyone listen?

A great message of oneness you share with us. We are all made from a single Spirit but unique in our own ways. Thank you for sharing Todd...:).......

Todd, "we are one in the battle of just begun..." is a very strong line with which to end this prayer (?) The images of school shootings and terrorism sharpen the point of this piece, which seems to be trying to make sense of all the violent acts so commonplace on our TV news shows. You use stark imagery to carry that feeling all the way through the write. Very nice job! take care...dan
