Misty Mountain Hop Again & Up to the TopA Poem by modtoddincExperience and Music Mythology collaborated into one expression of artistic interpretation. The Rising of The Misty Mountain We turned onto the dirt road, starting to rise... up, slide... slip. Spinning wheels go round and round, Practicing the same ol' drippity drip. What came before is an older score, of times and twisted rhymes. An attitude without gratitude, and sloppy sorts of crimes, then the mist settles in as we just begin, and then begin, and our fear creeps alongside. While the past is behind a tree just ahead, looking in our souls with open eyes wide. Mud and dirt splatter about, The cliff off over there, narrower and narrower now, the road has become our terror. What time is it? right now! It's just been a little while, maybe we should turn around? No, we are not so agile. Out of mind, out of spirit, a bird calls but we don't hear it. Up the mountain misty hop, puddle after puddle, what are we really doing here? creating only muddle. Why should we continue? the climb is so high, We could just drink coffee and ask some friends to come by, Listen to some music, continue as we were, relax and take it easy; resting is the cure. Open YOUR eyes wide, look around this place, we have an opportunity here, to change the way we race. Accomplish something special, tread the only trail... rocks, and mud, and jagged edges, dangers start to wail, which way does the pressure lie? in the sky? on our path? turning back? heart, bear or knife attack? Climb up, climb out, awareness is the key. Watch that rock, hold that tree, Spirit please guide me. I'll tell you what to do now just listen to this whisper, pack your bags... leave it all behind, carry on and up, through the mist, to the top the mountain misty hop, spread your arms and open up, Rise, rise, rise! Down to earth, then we'll stop, together and wise. © 2015 modtoddincAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
