Decisions, decisions... or in another time's frame -
"Which way do I go George, which way do I go?"
Life has this way of "Imperative"
and it's always NOW!
Though later we see "NOW" meant
well, not yet, it's ok
you need to work/talk it through
with yourself first... but -
OH, you did/said what?!?
Well that was ok -
oh it was/wasn't or not enough
or too much, too little, too late...
always too ...something.
But life DEMANDS -
and damn, we acquiesce.
Chris

An impactful pause my dear. Words to be savoured.
Thank you for pausing here :)
Your writing - complete with artwork and music, seems to beckon self into the where she wants to be Because, the hull of self is gradually falling apart, yet she yearns for the loveliest of all creations to make her feel whole. Perhaps?
Have read four times because, surely, there is more to understand than meets the eye.. Ana B.

Perhaps a falling apart of self is very overdue and deeply needed.
Thank you for putting the time and effort dear friend.
Hugs!
Such an intelligent and beautiful write. Those inner wars need to be quelled somehow. Yes a relevant piece in both a personal and wider context. Good to read you Ana.

An appropriate piece for the times we find ourselves in. And the truth is, we have to stop the wars within if we are ever to stop the wars beyond. Wonderfully rhymed and written Ana.
This one has an existential sound to it, as the speaker seems to be baffled by the apparent meaninglessness of life. In fact, the war imagery in the first verse hints that quite a struggle is taking place. There is an outright rejection of the conventional religious reassurances, but at the end there is almost a pleading for answers. Of course, there are none except those that seem most likely to us.

Love your interpretation of this, John. Thank you very much for dropping by :)
I am intrigued by the contradictions of a quiet war with in that raging, exploding, collapsing the world. But as a metaphor it sounds like the protagonist is in a relationship that they have become indifferent to but they are not ready to fire the first salvo. A tale told in a well formed rhyming verse. Love the painting.

Indeed, indifference comes naturally if you've been tired long enough about a situation.

Thank you for the kind words John :)
I can't help but think of the wars exploding all over the globe...and the poet who just wants peace in her space....and love to conquer the forces that feel the need to terrorize, pillage and destroy.
