a wish...

a wish...

A Poem by Ana B.

One day I will be chasing peony clouds

And swim in the ever blue…

And to shatter those chains of doubts

I must discover that other hue

That will melt my burning resistance

That makes me such an outstanding lone star,

That shines on with such a focused insistence

Yet that light can’t ever reach so far

To yank those weeds from the garden

That invaded the silent shrine

A silence that had roots long and deep… yet forgotten

A rare purity - melodically crystalline…

Those few who can hear that song

Awaken and spread the light

So those hearts that slept for so long

Can finally reach the end of the night.

Thank you :))))
The rhyming, irregular meter and spiritual focus of this one make me think of Emily Dickinson. Verse two, with its discussion of resistance, is especially profound. Well done.
