faceless thoughts

faceless thoughts

A Poem by Ana B.

The day starts with some fire in the sky

Quiet pastures in my mind…

Got some thoughts to vilify -

How powerless against the time

we always are.

Kill the snake that lives in my daydreams…

Will that bring me the peace I seek?

Running from the life choking routines,

Can’t help but see how weak

we really are.

When believing a lie for too long,

The truth won’t set free.

And when my mind’s ghosts get too strong

to ignore, I realize how unwilling to see

we always will be.

I wish I could change

But I’ll probably stay the same…

Ana, this is just gorgeous!

Stay the same, don't change. You being you is exactly what we need so we get more work like this.

Inspiring!

' How powerless against the time - we always are.'

Seems we need juggle feelings every so often, drown the negatives under the positives, let them lie, lost, forgotten til they rot away... Your words are so beautiful laid, although sad as pitch.. but there's life in that wonderful graphic that somehow makes me think that there's hope just waiting to be dragged into the light. Wishes many that you find it soon as sooner, my friend. Your poetry always touches somewhere deep. Thank you for sharing.. perhaps doing that dilutes your sadness. we can all help somehow, given the chance.

Beautiful artwork and powerful words written.

The above lines is the ending for the most of us. We forgot our true face and became molded by liars and the naysayers. Thank you dear Ana for sharing the amazing poetry. Made me think this morning.

Some dance, some watch, some dream ...and yet some live.

oooh you can change - we can all change right ? life is too short to only have one costume to parade in :)

I love the opening line - unfortunately my day at the moment starts in darkness - I really must get me some more sunshine. I am loving the simplicity and the necessity to think between the lines :)

The title drew me to this poem. A simply structured rhyming scheme with some really good rhyming. There is a considered, almost defiant, tone of capitulation to reality set in your words. Enjoyable and thought provoking piece.

Thank you for the beautiful words John!
no matter how busy we make ourselves...thoughts will catch up to us...and the good ones are too often overridden by the negative...the ones that are debilitating, that smack our progress in the nose..and hold us back.
thoughtful write to ponder and to use as good advice...we need to let the negative go before it eats us up.
