Minor

Minor

A Poem by Ana B.

Was I the first one to open this book?

Looking for infinity…

I saw the Nightfall’s dreary look -

the everpresent, tired divinity

The weight of sunshine is a heavy thing,

Continuous pressure on the ribcage.

A meager dot in this never ending string

is our time to perform on this stage…

In this grey life,grey town

You’re so blue - the other shore,

A singular peak for my typical down

Making me ignore

                   what was before

                                 as I adore

                                     the promise of more

A floral smell, yet bitter taste

Have these lovely songs

That keep playing with no haste

The beautiful notes of my ‘’wrongs’’

Reminding: its the world and me - an incandescent duet.

there are many wrongs in life...and we have to deal with those as well as the "rights"--

and it is hard to always be smiling and optimistic although some of us feel that it is our job to be the sunshine for others---but we cannot pull everyone out of the shadows...and it happens that the more we try to do that, chances are we might end up in those shadows ourselves.

deep stuff here, Ana.

Anytime :)
Awesome tattoo in your artwork! Interesting & unexpected rhymes thru-out. Love the fresh originality of your expressions: "The weight of sunshine is a heavy thing, Continous pressure on the ribcage." (Continuous is misspelled tho) . . . also in the last line, I wonder if you mean "incandescent"?? Strong word choices thru-out (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
