A sadness

A sadness

A Poem by Ana B.

Afresh the Dream Fortress

Has cut the world in half…

One bathed in gentle softness

The other one - a sinter path.

Obstinate emptiness -

hauntingly familiar dismay…

Each tomorrow envious

Of the settled yesterday.

Floating salt photographs

Saying goodbye to a world,

Resting on the doorstep epitaphs,

Apricot morning undisturbed.

Unfitting in this world now

Like a laugh in the land of tears…

Got to cut a path anyhow

Through the forest of fears

Until the Dream Fortress

Will cut again.

'Each tomorrow envious ~ Of the settled yesterday.

Seems Thought.. perhaps.. breaks moulds, leaves less than was, manipulates logic, dilutes colours - leaves only the 'Almost'. Not sure if i have the meaning as you intended but, have tried.

Your writing: meter, language and intention is as ever, more than fine, though near tragedy. Both picture and video add even more.

Thank you my dear.
WOW! This is a nicely unusual way to describe sadness! I get so sick of whiney poems about love lost! But this is like no other love message, nicely unique & also playing with the contrasts of life -- softness/hardness . . . salty/sweetness . . . and so on. Unexpected sensory sparks thru-out that aren't entirely clear, but open for interpretation.

Stellar and poignant image and poem. Eloquent words to describe the fork in the moral road. "Doorstep epitaphs" powerful.we yearn for "settled yesterday. We have to keep your inspiring photo of the innocent child and butterly of hope in our hearts. Thank you for this!
