nights, Shine through my
poor lit home. Lost the taste of those
scanty delights That warmed up the
soul that I have
on loan…
And yet I listen - To the cosmos gossip
in the rain, To the sugary rhymes
that glisten Down on this life, so
insistently mundane.
It’s hard to see you
happy, dear reflection Not when you live in
a head full of dreams; Not when your heart
finds an objection To every thought that
your mind so fixedly brings…
Is death a disease? Or a figment of
imagination…
