HelpersA Poem by Ana B.Come, sweet Tenderness, and fold my satin dreams That lay scattered on my bed of smoke And gently wipe away my autumn tears That my small memory unknowingly awoke.
Come, gentle Night, and help me cross your heights With the moon as your palatine of lost whispers… And shadows as your ghostly knights And the dripping stars as your secluded sisters…
Come, beloved Longing, and help me suicide a smile As I hold my hands against the sky. It will get better, but it might take a while Got so many doubts to crucify…
Come, dear Fondness, and help me find A beautiful mess of words That will tame this heart so wild That’s chasing after mythical rewards…
Come, darling Peace, and teach me how to swim In this sea of love so false… Maybe I will escape this orb so grim But oh, this sea doesn’t want to show the shores.
