Six tulips

Six tulips

A Poem by Ana B.

Beautiful lies in a look

Like smiling fire bombs

Stuck in my blue notebook

As I outline kismet’s palms.

The sky is bruising.

And this theory of a novel

Has become impossibly confusing

Yet cannot sway this lovely ravel

Of tangles words

Cause that’s the space between us

And so I wink, and The Wind nods -

no one distorts the truth like he does

Except the mind.
