"Some people are born great - others have greatness thrust upon them"
"The great only appear great because we are on our knees - let us rise." were two slogans that the IRA painted all over the walls in my native city and they did make you wonder.

"...With or without our knowledge…" - sometimes people do deeds of valour or bravery and when asked what they were thinking they often reply that their mind went blank - or they had one basic, almost primal aim - eg to get a friend out of the way of harm. They didnt think about it. That makes me think that greatness, bravery is built-in, in the genes and will be shown to be such in the future. When it is, it will be used to create super-soldiers who show no fear via gene-transplanting or gene-therapy.

You made me think today - now a slice of cake is needed.

hi Ana, time for the pleasure of reading your work, certainly when the dark comes upon us how we react will bring courage to the fore, that wickedness in the frozen paths of the past will hurt but we find strength in our heart of courage, embrace the dark and make it light, great philosophy and writing of excellence............like the photo too but that's me being bad, terrible person that i am :)
