Futile

Futile

A Poem by Ana B.
"

feels like an anniversary....this is my poem nr.200 :)

"

I wish I would know

When will the famine of my soul end…?

Fragments yearning for motion that is still slow

Perhaps then I will no longer pretend….

That I know all the answers

That I have ever perused…

Arrogance and indifference my oldest dancers

That have left my heart coldly bemused…

Stop whispering in your mind

All you’ll never say…

The edge of my blade again couldn’t find

No evil to win…no enemies to slay…

200 up! many congratulations Ana, this poem is anything but futile, the famine of your soul ended the day you took up the pen, maybe you were filled with indifference before you came here but now you are a wonderful poet with no evil or enemies, just friends and admirers galore, happy 200 :)

:) will do, thak you very much Robert.
A soulful expression of deep futility, dear Ana.
In times past your soul's blade has found a good many enemies to slay. I know this famine will end for you.

For you...inspired by the first line of your poem 'Ache'.

Blast the gates of sorrow sealed
Lay upon your shattered shield
While muses like caissons wheeled
Bear you from your battlefield…

Happy 200th creation, dear Ana.

The more we bleed. The more understanding, for what we can do and who we are is learn. I enjoyed this poem. You made me think. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Thank you Daisy :)
You've only begun to walk the paths of ages
each then a now all its own
each tomorrow a rose to draw the mind and eyes
each pause - a breath
each whisper - the heart of another instant
spread clearly and caringly
open
to the touch of eyes and I's
...by the fingertips' weavings
of real forevermores.

Chris

Happy 200 th.

Thank you so very much Chris.
Poem number CC. Jeepers it seems like only yesterday you had published only CXCIX ...

Some people are just misunderstood and it comes across as arrogance or indifference - I have found those types of people to be the most caring.

"Stop whispering in your mind All you'll never say" - your prolificness notwithstanding your pen's quality still runneth over Ana.

(no I don't know why Im talking like that either... lol)
