The CourseA Poem by Ana B.I’m
a pedestrian on this endless highway Playing
piano with today’s notes… Yet
no matter how simple, it’s so hard to obey The
rules of this world…got me tied up in knots.
Every
now and then a racer is stopping by Asking
me if I want a ride to wherever I’m going Yet
instead of agreeing, I end up saying goodbye Walking
slowly down my road…steady…unknowing
A
field of poppies, a little lamb is catching my eye Luring
me to rest my soul for a while… And
once the lamb will leave and poppies will die I
will move ahead with my journey…mile by mile
Passing
streets and crossroads unfold ahead Making
a puzzle from a puzzle… But
if my course was long ago preset Cannot
afford to be distracted or dazzled…
