Jealousy

Jealousy

A Poem by Ana B.

                                           I’m jealous of the Rain

      For it can wash away

      The weakness and the pain

                                           That comes our way…

I’m jealous of the Wind

For it can travel any space

From a warm breath of mint

To a sweet and familiar face…

I’m jealous of the Sun

For it’s not afraid of the dark

Irreplaceable for everyone

Starting life from a little spark…

I’m jealous of the Moon

For it has seen the greatest stories

And will witness some others soon

Cause she’s the keeper of the world’s undying glories

I’m jealous of the Sky

This ‘’ant hill’s’’ vault

Having a world to occupy

And sometimes crying tears of salt

I’m jealous of the Birds

For they can pierce the air.

And are able to fly towards

The sun, the moon…and anywhere

I’m jealous of the Heart

That is brave and fearless

Waiting for the love to start

Unafraid of failure, or of success…

I love this poem Ana! There is so much truth to the jealousy... I wish at times the rain could wash away all my pain and give me a fresh start! Beautiful words :)
