Vanities

Vanities

A Poem by Ana B.

Beauty of the strangest forms and shapes

Is following my cognizance…

In this mirror of infinite escapes

Not one is possessing confidence…

Unbearable attachment for the superficial

The world has drowned in it nowadays

So that dexterities are counted as inefficient

And if there is beauty, no need to look for other ways.

And so I ask myself looking in the mirror

Where do I stand in this charade?

Will my mind and soul be clearer?

If beauty had no color and no shade?

Unbearable attachment for the superficial, you got that right!
Unfortunately true, I've always been attracted to the natural
beauty, if you know what I mean, less is best in my
opinion! Example- roll over see no make up, just God
given features, now that's beautiful to me, I totally understand
beauty is in the eye of the beholder but if you have ten tons
of make up and so on applied, that isn't your true beauty:(
Thanks for sharing your thought provoking work and b-blessed!
