The Secret

The Secret

A Poem by Ana B.

He holds the secret of the world

This greatest sorcerer

So what if that world’s no bigger than a pearl?

And he’s just a spell deliverer…

She holds the world in a shell

So that no one could find it

He’ll fight Heaven and Hell

To keep this precious gift.

In snow, in rain, in the wind

He’ll fight for her…

Emotions precise and distinct

But are they  for the pearl or the shell?

You are welcome ;)
Very much a chicken and egg type poem - the reader led a merry dance - If we follow this thread then we are brought to point x which doesnt give us the full story and if we follow another, we end up at point y but the end result is the same. Thats clever Ana.
A monkey puzzle tree write. :))

I love puzzles :) thank you :)
Hey Ana, I love the intensity you have brought in this piece, of passion and protectiveness more than anything. Its like a short journey but so very filled with knowing each others motive and still not knowing the end game of their love. Great work again :)

An inquisitive and introspective poem. Full of questions that we all would love to know before the plot thickens.

a riddle inside a riddle.....thank you for stopping by :)
Read and re.read - and if there's has to be an answer to your secret, surely the one can't be that precious something without the other... shells too quickly crumble, pearls need safety to live as should.. 'tis the same with the human spirit.. is same with loive divine, emotions precise .. and lIFE.

'.'So what if that world’s no bigger than a pearl? '

You are welcome dear Ana.
good question...her heart hidden under the shell, but she is the pearl that he wants to pluck from the oyster...
at least he understands that she and her love are precious gifts....and even one as powerful as he cannot penetrate the shell.
