Heart is a contradiction

Hot cup in my hand…lost in thought…again

Staring at the plastic moon in the rocking chair

Oh this life , with sweet ballads to entertain

But what good is a life with no one to share?

 

Wasting time while the world unravels

Saying the hellos and then the goodbyes

Wasting time, just chasing shadows…

Ignoring the stabbing our heart implies

 

Rocking in the chair…the tea got cold

Screaming at the silence that’s all around me

Passion is consuming. Daring. Bold…

…so sweet, but you can’t survive on candy.

I believe we can be alone with someone near. We need someone to make us feel needed and special. Candy is good and if we are lucky. Can find someone to excite the mind and heart. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the excellent poetry.

I've always said that I am big fan of titles...

'Heart is a contradiction' is an inimitable title:) and the lines have done justice to it!!!
