Queen of Hearts

Queen of Hearts

A Poem by Ana B.
"

‘’No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.’’ Hal Borland

"

Silence is the only warning

For the impending turning point

She helplessly waits every morning

Because the days are the hardest to confront.

Don’t go there, even if she’s calling

You know the outcome  - you’ve been there before

Sometimes less is always boring…

And Faith will make you dance with praise or just deplore…

Shards of glass scattered around

Made a puzzle from this face…

This beauty has the strangest sound

Flashing one moment, then being lost in space…

That heart is made of ice…

Nothing burns like the cold…

Yet even the coldness has a price

That will always be sold.

No winter lasts forever

No spring skips its turn

Only the time will make it better…

And stop this coldness to burn…

Very nicely done. I like the rhyme scheme and the entire feeling of this poem. You have a way of expressing yourself that flows so wonderfully Ana. B.

A lovely piece of writing.

You know the outcome " you’ve been there before
A small punctuation error
You know the outcome, you’ve been there before
Otherwise, very well done.

Nothing burns like the cold, what feeling expressed: Going up: and Faith will make you dance with praise or just deplore.....what great expressions, if as if you must but know the outcome and express it nicely, time does make some things better....I suppose anger, hurt, pain all the emotions expressed it this but mainly distane; maybe the way the one character feels about the other. The price we pay for our decisions we make freely. You made me think and goodness, I need my brain to work...no kidding. Loved it. Great writing. Suppose, we're still doing Poetry 101 Tag - Emily is very smart.
