A Poem by Ana B.

Speak elusive speech
Nobody will hear it.
No matter what point you reach
It'll never cease to seem unfit

My vision is a blur through the prism of shadows...
Snatched up a telescope to stalk my imminence
Its far and  its hard to grasp what is it  that really matters
And death -  makes the deed with the lack of evidence

Enlightened or misguided - the impasse of a lifetime
I keep inhaling the aroma of  profligacy...
Am I inside the perimeter or swaying on the sideline?
Condemned to indecision by my own obstinacy.

I am certain of the certain uncertainties
Nothing has changed....
All lives on earth have some similarities
Prudently arranged.

sometimes we think that whether we are in right place or not and this doubt persists for a while but these doubts are essential, uncertainties are essential. Amazing piece!

Thank you Daisy!
The whole poem has a thread of self-doubt. Has it all been a waste of time so far. Have I made the proper commitment or have I been dithering all this time. Theres a certain amount of wishing that someone would take the responsibility of the decisions that can/will be life-changing, away from the writer.

Life doesnt come with any guarantees - except that a) you will get hurt at some stage b) you will expire at some stage - ergo the great leveller is referred to - 'all lives have some similarities'

This is the most obscure I feel of your writing which reflects the obscuring of what seemed to be once such a clear pathway - its now overgrown with Life and the path is rapidly disappearing.

Can I just say - the first stanza reminded me of a Suzanne Vega song called Language in which she laments the difference in the speed of thought and the speed of the fingers (to write said thoughts down) or the tongue/mouth to express said thoughts. They are a blur. The first stanza seemed to me to be a similar kind of lament about the suitability of 'speech' to express thoughts. Totally way off but I never miss a chance to reference Suzanne Vega - heres the track

Thank you very much Nene!
First i must congratulate you Ana that as a poet you have far excelled yourself here, the sheer poetry is a beauty to behold its like i could drift on the words with no need to delve into the depths of meaning but if i must then i see a lot of introspection and self doubt beneath the divine surface, its like i want to float above the words and swim in them forever rather than dive below to see the harsh reality of indecision and skepticism that has taken control in the depths, you must rise above these doubts Ana, come join me on the waves of poetic beauty that you weave so well :)

I feel like the poet is trying to come to terms and be resolute on certain areas of their life, but still they do not know (or pretend not to), hence the world around does not make much sense either. Thought provoking piece. Thank you for the RR :)

I agree dear Poet.
"I am certain of the certain uncertainties
Nothing has changed....
All lives on earth have some similarities
Prudently arranged."
Uncertainties is the only thing written in blood. Thank you Ana for sharing the excellent poetry.
