I think you did a wonderful job capturing the feelings of longing never revealed.
Infatuations and obsessions come in hard and fast and leave just as quick I think.
I wonder if on some level we know that it will never work and so this is why we don't reveal our crushes?
I'm a believer that love happens slowly over time. Beautiful poem Ana. I often read yours and think, gosh I wish I had thought of that. :)

It's still good to feel those emotions. Like a sugar rush from a sweet candy. :)

You're welcome Ana!
I can relate to this from my male perspective, infatuated with a woman yet hating myself for it because I know there is no point to it. Slightly bleak and sad. I like it quite a bit.
Good job, Ana! ;)

Yes, luckily those days are over. Thanks for stopping by :)
I could definitely feel the emotions in this well written piece!
Longing is what stood out, great choice on artwork as well,
the wonderful words mesh perfect with the art:)
Thanks for sharing and b-blessed!
"Too bad you happened to be the muse of my imagination
I'm really sorry for your lack of luck
But you inspired this silly, potent infatuation
Guess without such analogies life would really suck."
I'm not sure, if you've pen'd it all up deliberately or not but it's true that I find a wee bit heartfelt emotional feelings of someone's heart spoken through such poetic lips (words). In fact, such lines touched my heart & made me to think, what if there's no 'love', Would imagination or the raged infatuation/empathy of heart be existed in the world? And, the answer is, "No!". So, such lanes of 'analogies' always come our ways to let the heart be silly with worldly silliness.
You write very deep pieces. I've just subscribed to your stuffs a moment ago as well. Enjoyed reading your words!
Happy-Writing!

Infatuation leave us wishing for things we cannot have.
"There are plenty of others who make me feel pretty
You're just a secret I will never reveal..."
Silence leave us behind and wishes we were more braver. I enjoyed the flow of thought. The internal thoughts led to the strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

wow! this was a beautiful write, truly:)
all I'm left with as a comment to it, is "well done":)
this was my favorite from your write:) :
"Too bad you happened to be the muse of my imagination
I'm really sorry for your lack of luck
But you inspired this silly, potent infatuation
Guess without such analogies life would really suck
Don't be mad, anyway its a nowhere city...
My coward nature and pride will never let it get real
There are plenty of others who make me feel pretty
You're just a secret I will never reveal...
these lines, and specially the last stanza i feel, sums up everything about what really one feels experiencing infatuation:)
i also like the ending of the write, soft, sweet, n honest:)
nicely penned!

thank you very much for the review :) i'm really glad you liked it!
I really enjoyed it. Great writing. You got me with the first line and everything flowed beautifully - it flowed to perfection. I love the theme - the secret - aww, the pitfalls of love. Beautiful writing. Poetry 101 Tag.

Thank you so much Dale :) sigh.....eh the secrets.....
That's quite true! Infatuation is fast, while love takes time. Real magic always does take time, while the little quick tricks are usually the ones that are less applauded. Love at first sight...sparks fly.. sure, but I am a strong believer of patience. Wait for love to happen. Sparks are quick. A real fire takes time to be kindled. Excellent poem! You've found the perfect words! :))
