Can't Run Forever

Can't Run Forever

A Poem by Moalix

I sense you there without even looking up
your sad eyes
your broken smile
I try not to look up
because
I can't stand the disgusted look
as you look at me and see
all my faults
all my flaws
I don't want to see the loathing
at how pathetic I am
I can't meet your eyes
because I can't stand the look
of dissappointment in your eyes
I want to go on living without having
to look you in the eye
you,
my harshest critic
but no matter how hard I fight
to avoid you

I can't run from my eyes in the mirror forever
