Listen Up Beautiful Girl

Listen Up Beautiful Girl

A Poem by Moalix

She doesn't hear the words
coming out of my mouth
screaming out of my mouth
the words saying
that she's beautiful now
that she's just right now
because all she can hear
are the voices screamin' louder than me!
They say she's not beautiful yet
she doesn't exercise enough
she doesn't diet enough
she's not skinny enough
because she hasn't dropped dead yet
Those voices sing she's ugly as can be
because you can't see her ribs
because she can't wear a size three
so she looks in the mirror
and is disgusted by what she sees
because she has fat on her stomach
she's got hips
and she's got thighs
So she hates on herself
because she's not toothpick fine
and wishes everyday
that she could be pretty and thin
even though I tell her
that she's already beuatiful
that she's already pretty
but that's not what she sees
when she looks in the mirror
So I am here to say
that I hate society today
because they made a beautiful girl
feel ugly today
