I'm a Big Girl Askin' Why

I'm a Big Girl Askin' Why

A Poem by Moalix
"

For a friend who has severe issues with body image and this is what my response was.

"

Why must I be skin and bones
to be loved as I should?
Why should I almost die
to impress all of you?
When did having a little fat
become such a serious crime?
Not everyone is anorexic
Not everyone is rail thin
and I refuse to be punished
for this imaginary sin
So what if I have muffin top!
So what if my thighs rub!
I'm not ashamed of being a big girl
cuz it just means there's more of me to love
