Father Time

Father Time

A Poem by Mnemosyne
"

Another day...another dollar.

"

lemon tea…red pear

taking the day a bit at a time

walking around with a gaping wound in my stomach

is it normal to feel this lost? is it normal to feel this alone?

I have a sinking suspicion it is…a fear that it is not…and then a deep dread that...it is.

I distribute dinner vitamins and baths like daily rations

Have you had your bath today?

Take two of these & one of these.

whatever happened to joy? whatever happened to time?

I realize now…it is Time that we cannot afford. no matter how wisely we use it.

they want you..bound and controlled and not wasting your day exploring your soul

or making the world a more deplorable place to live by tending garden beds.

your needed! To coddle the inane stupidity of those willing to be victims of greed.

Tell me - are you happy this way?
