InspiredA Poem by Maxwell KellyA poem about my disillusionment with society, and the inspiration a few people have given me.Why am I told that, in this world I need much money for happiness? Why can't my mind just be unfurled, So I can give more people happiness? Why is there not a protocol for making people dream at all? I was told that for a living I could make, A four-year degree I have to earn, And though the concept should be fake, Already so much I have learned. About the real world's protocol. I never can make up my mind 'bout what it is I want to be. It's eating me down to the rind; I scream, "WHAT WILL YOU BE!?" But YOU! fair man and mentor too, have shown me which I must do! To my heart I must be True! Or my whole life, I'll come to rue!
