How?

How?

A Poem by Mizu No Mita
"

A poem about a girl who just wants answers.

"

How do you face,

The one  you love,

With the one that hurts him?

How do you face,

The sister,

You left behind?

How do you face,

The world around you,

Without the mask?

How do you face,

Yourself?

With all the pain,

You caused.

With all the fights,

You faught.

With all the Hell,

You went through.

With all the s**t,

You made.

How?

How do you look in the mirror,

And see a soul,

Not a monster?

For the first question, I assume the one that hurts him is you? and would say, he will get over it. We often hurt the people we love and those people if they love in return, generally forgive and love is a very healing thing. the second question, is a little trickier but still related to love and I would say, you face her with an honest heart and she too will forgive, sometimes we have to be apart from the people we love, it is a journey and we are not the navigators. Ah the third question! I would say it is almost impossible to be without the mask 100% we need it to protect ourselves and being ourselves can be dangerous in a society that generally is not as it seems, but! relaxing is the key to being ourselves imo and we have to work at that if we are not acquainted with relaxation, but it does come and when it does it is easier to just be. Question number four takes our whole life time, but if we can handle No 3 they it is easier again to face ourselves, whether we like ourselves or not is another matter. Well the last stanza is full of questions and all I can say is, we have to really work hard to forgive ourselves, no one is perfect,we all make mistakes and hurt others, sometimes not even realising it. To keep on trying is the key, not giving up and falling into a structure of living a life we don't like or want. Hope that helps. What do I think? A real thought provoker. Smiling at you, Tai

I've lived through a lot of the feelings you describe in the poem, which is beautifully written. And to maybe answer the question of how...
You just do. Life is too long and too short all at the same time to lose yourself in the depression and hate. The world is too wonderful of a place.

I hope that helps a little bit.

This is touchy poem, i just felt it. Ive been through my share of pains and faults in the past that now i just dont know how to face the people ive hurt. sad. Its difficult to live and always fear how people will treat you for all the wrong youve done. sad. sad. =)
