Goodbye, SisterA Poem by Mizu No MitaWhen one sister hurts the other too much.
You’ve tried my patience,
And I’ve had enough.
My sister,
You are no more.
Here are your rings,
I want them no more.
I’ve tried and tried,
To keep you near.
But you have not,
And I see this now.
Attacking my land,
Why would you do so?
Do you truly wish me harm?
He is my love,
You can’t change that fact.
So why not accept it?
You say you want to keep me near,
So why have you pushed me away?
I trusted you,
And you betrayed me.
Two can play that game.
You’ve hurt me,
So it’s only fair I return the favor.
By trying to push him from me,
You’ve done more damage than even Georgia.
He makes me happy,
You once did too.
But he’s helped me,
More than you.
He’s healed my heart and my soul,
And now you try to break me.
I’m sorry sister,
But you’ve gone to far.
So now I have only one word to say,
“Goodbye.”
