The unnamed child

The unnamed child

A Poem by Allyson
"

She screams into the midnight air, as loud as she could, but only a faint voice came out, and no one could hear her.

"
The child stands in a corner at a fosters home,
she stands there for hours, and days
no friends, no one to talk to
she writes and writes during the day
but one of the kids ripped it up
she cries, day after day for someone to take her home
she has no name
she doesn't know what she looks like
she only knows shes taller in the lamp
and thinks shes the prettiest girl alive
she stands in a corner because it feels safe,
she calls it her ''sanity corner''
the girl escapes out the window every night
to this tree, called the ''sacred tree of life''
is what the girl named it
she tells her problems to it,
she thinks of it as her bestfriend
the girl takes a flower in her hand
popping the head off of it
and putting her head in her knees, she screams
into the midnight air, as loud as she could
but only a faint voice came out
and no one could hear her
she cries outloud
'' Why me?''
my name is allyson
and this is my story.
