You Were

You Were

A Poem by Ziamiya

You were my everything.
My light,my air,my soul.
You left me alone in the dark.
So I couldn't see.
You left me to drown in tears.
So I couldn't breathe.
You left me soulless.
So I was confused.

You were my all.
My heart was stolen...but nothing was said.
Everything written was destroyed instead.
How could something as real as us die in the hand of your trust.
You were my light.
In a room full of darkness, hate, and anger, you've shown like a star in the night.
You were my sight guiding me as if I was blind.
So I held onto you like it was the end of the world...
someone's world...
My world.
That's what you were.
My life,my story,my strength, my beginning and ending.
Hard to believe I still love you.
