I need a Friend

I need a Friend

A Poem by MiyaAron

I am in dire need of a friend

I went to the store to see what they had

up and down aisles, scanning each and every shelf,

waiting for someone to offer

help.

I am in dire need of a friend,

I went to church to see what they had.

I listened intently I opened my heart

I knelt in hope, waiting for someone to offer

help.

I am in dire need of a friend,

I went to the only place I had left

I swallowed the lump in my throat,

I opened my eyes and let the tears roll

There you are,

I've been searching

I need you so bad,

I forgot

I had you ,

I had a safe place.

My feel my heart beat race,

 I look at her squarely,

I want to reach and wipe her face

It's alright I whisper

to the mirror

I'm here.

We shall bare, for it is within us all to care. That when a friend is needed, it real person is preferred over that of a ghost. Now, it can be said that a piece within is missing after one lets loose with birth. It is for that reason, friends help, to keep you filled with mirth.

This piece speaks to me of the type of isolation and depression mothers can have after giving birth. It's flow carries with it much emotion and the need to find comfort.
