Fun as a fairA Poem by MixedthoughtsThis one is for Gary.
You always express your love in a fun way
cruising in the Grady white across the bay I enjoyed just watching you I rarely had a question But when I asked, I sure did get a lesson People say it's a disease or a sickness But that was your way to get out of the thickness Feeling sad is an appropriate emotion You will forever be remembered when near the ocean I put myself in many memories with you What a light you were even with the nerdy jew I ask if there is anything I could have done Reality, no. Just face what I need to learn and not run I am so thankful for the roll you played Look at our family now, there is very little shade You had something to do with the turning point Learning is a fun game even without a joint The experiences is what made you so rich A story to tell about any son of a b***h Swimin' in the crik and hiking up your britches Goin' huntin' and fishin' even with stitches I will never forget the drive on josh Wilson road The bulldog bus pulls in almost running over the chocolate choad The sweet smell of weird chowder And during winter pulling the sleds across the white powder Your last name fits you you were fun as a fair Sing feliz navidad without one care Your legs so short and torso so tall Your body is gone but you seem to answer when I call © 2016 Mixedthoughts |
