I see me in you

This is a poem written to my loving grandpa

I see me in you in everything I do
We even wear the same size shoe
The strive for love in similar ways
We are both excited for the future days

When I look at you I see a great roll being played
Very humble and wise in everything you made
You always and forever will be in my heart
Distance will never split us apart

What a great listener you are with your legs crossed
Never showing judgement even to those are lost
I love you so much and I cherish who you are
You will always be my coach rolling up in your red car

I will forever remember our walks around town
It was always what I needed when I was feeling down
You were a second father for me when times were tough
When I look back you taught how to swing through the rough

I see me in you more as time goes on
We will soon be together sitting in his lawn
I see me in you the difference is almost none
It seems to me that we are one
