Letter To DadA Poem by Yellow Wax WingsI wrote this poem on June 19th, four months away from the three-year anniversary of my dad's death.
I got up the courage
and looked at the calendar today. In just a few months, you'll have been gone for three years. I'm sorry I've only been to your grave once or twice. I know you're not there, but I feel like I'm neglecting you. I hope that you knew how much I loved you. I hope that you knew that you were my hero. My best friend. My role model. And I hope that you know that I miss you.
