Namesake

A Poem by Yellow Wax Wings

I build wings of bees' wax and wildflowers
To fly to you, the sun the warms my tired soul
I run to the edge and leap, without fear or hesitation
For I know that should I fly too close
And should your heart melt the wings from my back
You will never let me fall
