Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by Yellow Wax Wings
"

A short poem about anxiety.

"

When the darkness creeps into the edges of your vision

When your palms get sweaty and your heart begins to race

When it feels like all eyes are on you and every action is being judged

Every mistake recorded and cataloged

Just breathe.

Close your eyes,

Count to ten,

and breathe.

In,

out.

Don't let it win.

I liked this. Just closing your eyes and taking a breath can sometimes open the closed door before you. That deep breath will give you the courage to step through that door and face whatever might be ahead. Good write.
