2000 Miles AwayA Poem by MistressEbzoPretty self-explanatory; I'm a mess.
The week begins, a subtle promise
Or a chance to fall again My eyes tear around, searching When I realise you're gone Another smile I will feign. They say you're two thousand miles away And the room starts to fade The physical kicks in, heaving The ache I had forgotten Oh, the price left unpaid. Even though we're apart now In every sense of the word Escape for some air, breathe I become every cliché My ears have ever heard. A mere three days have passed Feels as long as the months I've been alone I miss your smile, your touch Times like these make me realise I've become nothing but your clone.
