One of a Kind

One of a Kind

A Poem by Karthika Murugan
"

All laws of nature have exceptions, Then why don't we accept this exception, open up our mind, accept the kind, and end the commotion of the society's notion.

"
It was our fantasy,
It was an ecstasy,
To enter the world of love,
For we were fans of dove.

Was the picture painted an illusion?
Or was something wrong with my vision?
Even the handsomest man couldn't raise my heat,
For the prettiest girl did my heart skip a beat.

They told me a man
sweeps off the floor a woman,
But all my fantasies were woven
around my dream man.

There were days we would forget our name
But who was there to blame,
Was it our mistake? was there a choice?
Amidst the noise, we lost our voice.

We have no reason to wail,
What did we do to be in jail,
Was that a crime?
No, lets see with time.

We lawfully have our rights,
Even then in our lives are no lights,
The society doesn't accept us raw,
For we are against the nature's law.

Are we not nature's creation,
Then why such commotion?
All laws of science have exception,
Then why should we face discrimination?

This is to remind,
We are one of a kind,
Don't you mind,
All we expect you is to be kind.
