Death by Cop.

A short poem inspired by S.E Hinton's The Outsiders

Your gun was fake

Yet theirs were real

You were brought up to fight

You were brought up to steal

If you didn't cheat

You wouldn't survive

You're the only one that cares

if you live or you die

You've never felt the warm touch of love in your life

The burning pain in your lungs and legs will have to suffice

You were born a snake in a dice game of lies

You've just rolled your own eyes

You're stuck in a corner nowhere to run or to hide

Red and blue flashes blinding your eyes

You lifted your toy

They weren't amused

Your body fell

 Reckless and used

This is the first poem I've ever written.
The inspiration behind it comes from the book, The Outsiders By S.E Hinton.

Ahhhh. A poem for Darry. I read the book ages ago. I kinda felt sorry for him. I'm not a poetry person but the struture seemed good to me. The words summed up the character and i liked the last line. Very good
