Safely Broken

Safely Broken

A Poem by Mistaken
"

still didnt turn out how I wanted it to <.<

"

I sit encased in my thoughts

curled in a ball

deeper inside myself

hoping not to fall.

Eyes unfocused

thoughts in a haze

pain stabs my chest

with my heart set ablaze.

Longing

sadness

pain

madness

Pulsing from deep within me

bursting forth to leave yet another hole

covered in a shadow

lies my lonely soul.

Tears slowly build until they spill down my cheeks

leaving salty tracks in their place

not even knowing who you are

I wait to be held in your embrace

I need to feel warm

surrounded by your love

safely in your arms

until two become one.

I know I'm too young

only 17 years of age

but i crave who you are

like a lock on a cage.
