Bananas, Pears, Pudding, and Cobbler

Bananas, Pears, Pudding, and Cobbler

A Poem by Missy Lorraine
"

just a little something that will hopefully make you laugh!

"
There once was a bigfoot named Yeti
who had a nice fluffy bunny.
She was cute and sweet and so very petite
but didn't know what was good for her to eat.

So one day Yeti went to the library
to look up some healthy foods for Bunny.
They tried bananas, pears, pudding and cobbler
but they all got stuck in bunny's white fur!

Yeti then found a book about vegetables
that said that carrots just might be edible.
Finally deciding that carrots would be best
they went to put them to the test.

Bunny bit the carrot with a big, loud pop
and hopped and jumped while wearing her socks.
As she landed she stubbed her big toe
and let out a cry that hurt her throat.

Yeti watched while cutting his hair
and jumped in shock and growled like a bear.
His hand slipped and he cut off his eyebrow
and he knocked his library book off the table somehow.

And the Moose next door let out a shriek
and spilled hot water all over his feet.
But at last poor Bunny has something to eat
maybe now she won't be so petite.

My sister and I used to do a little writing club with our little brother. We had a warm-up where we all came up with random words that we had to use in a story or poem. This is what I came up with. Hope you had a laugh!!!

This is so fantastically cute and smart in so many ways...It is VERY rare to find a poem filled with humor and sunlight as this one is...So clever with your words yet the same balance of childish innocence...Definitly one of the most original and well thought out, yet simple and childlike writes I have ever reviewed...Which is sooooo difficult a mixture to combine...But your mixture is one of great taste and a delectable sweetness...Great job Missy...Great job indeed...In a writing world filled with heartbreak this and painful that, this was a breath of freash air...:o)

Through shallow intellect, the mind becomes shallow, and one eats the fly, along with the sweets. :P

Definitely interesting. I liked it. It kinda brings you back to childhood days when writing was just something fun to do. Stuff like this is what builds us up to our passion we have today. Good write.
