Chapter 2: Coffee and CigarettesA Chapter by Speak in Silence
I find myself in utter darkness. Blinking doesn't even make a difference. I try to move my legs but they feel numb. Leaning up on my elbows, I feel the steady stream of warm air on my face. It smells of coffee and cigarettes. Someone's face is centimeters from mine. I gasp enough air to spit out three words,
"Who. Are. You." I take long pauses when I talk. The smell of his breath makes me sick. I feel his arm reach over me. He turn's on the bed-side lamp. © 2012 Speak in SilenceAuthor's Note
