Light shot in the DarkA Poem by Speak in Silence
We lay under the rays of
mid-September sun. In your arms I feel as nothing can hurt me. I pretend I'm asleep, and Try not to smile When you whisper in my ear. But somehow, someway the shadows gather. I can feel the black abyss attempting to pull me under. The dark cloud of agony, Slowly trying to choke me, Pull me back in it's dark grasp. Just when I think I'm gone forever, You grab me, Pull me back to reality. My light in the dark. © 2012 Speak in SilenceAuthor's Note
